Transparent PVC Irrigation Hose, 5 m

Watering is awkward when the tubing does not fit the plan

For a small watering layout, a length of flexible tube can help carry water between suitable components. This transparent PVC hose is sold in a variant labelled 5M, with packing length listed as five metres. The supplier calls it a 4/7 PVC hose and separately lists an outer diameter of approximately 6 mm. Those size descriptions do not completely agree, so check the actual inner and outer diameters before selecting connectors. Do not assume a standard garden-tap fitting will attach directly.

Plan the route before you cut

Imagine arranging a few plant containers, measuring the path the tubing must follow, then allowing extra length for bends and connections. With one five-metre option, you can decide how to divide the run to suit your particular watering setup. The material is specified as PVC plastic and the colour as transparent. The earlier title calls it expandable, but the specification does not document an expansion ratio or pressure range. Treat it as a flexible length of hose, not a self-expanding hose or a complete irrigation kit.

What happens at each end matters as much as the length. The product record does not confirm connector compatibility, fittings in the pack, inner diameter or water-pressure rating. Check your pump, taps, emitters and coupling sizes before ordering. A tubing label such as 4/7 can be a useful clue, but it should not replace a measured fit, particularly when the listing also says approximately 6 mm outer diameter. The source lists anti-abrasion, UV and corrosion properties without test details; those claims are not presented as guaranteed performance for prolonged outdoor use.

Useful facts for planning

• Packing length is listed as five metres.
• PVC is the specified plastic type.
• Transparent is the stated colour.
• Approximately 6 mm is stated for outer diameter, alongside a 4/7 hose description that needs confirmation.

Measure twice before cutting and confirm your connections are secure before running water through a new setup. Route the tube away from sharp edges and check it regularly for wear or leaks. If you need a hose for a specific pressure or connector standard, get those details verified first. A well-planned five-metre length can make a small watering project neater, but the right fit matters more than broad supplier promises. This listing makes the known measurements and their uncertainty visible so you can choose on that basis.
