Chunky T-Shirt Yarn – 100 g Balls, 34 Colours

Big Stitches, Fast Wins, Zero Patience Required

Fine yarn projects are lovely, but they take weeks, and winter weekends call for something you can actually finish. Chunky t-shirt yarn is the shortcut crafters swear by: thick, soft ribbon-style yarn that turns into a basket, rug, or bag in a handful of sittings, with fat, satisfying stitches that look impressive even on your very first project. If you crochet or knit (or have always meant to), this is the yarn that rewards you quickly.

A Rainbow of 100 g Balls

Each ball holds 100 g of thick cloth yarn made from 100% polyester (supplier-listed), in a spectrum of shades from soft pastels to punchy brights across 34 numbered colours. Match the colour number to the chart photo when ordering. One ball covers smaller projects like coasters and mini baskets; rugs, totes, and pouffes will want several, so stock up in the same dye session where possible.

Beginner's Best Friend

Thick yarn is famously forgiving: stitches are big enough to see, mistakes are easy to spot and undo, and progress shows after minutes rather than evenings. That makes it ideal first-project territory for kids, total beginners, and returning crafters alike. Start with a simple single-crochet circle, keep going in rounds, and a basket base appears almost by magic.

What to Make First

• Storage baskets: the classic t-shirt-yarn project, sturdy and quick
• Round bath mats and bedroom rugs: chunky, squishy, done in a weekend
• Tote and market bags: strong fabric-like stitches
• Pet beds, pouffes, and plant-pot covers for the ambitious weekend

Honest Notes for Makers

• The supplier's data lists 100% polyester; other spec fields mention cotton blend and woolen types, which do not match, so treat polyester as the confirmed material
• Yarn thickness is approximately 2 cm wide ribbon-style (supplier headline)
• Colours are sold individually per ball; check the numbered chart photo before choosing
• As with any chunky yarn, hook/needle size is your choice: big hooks for drape, smaller for firm baskets

From Ball to Basket by Sunday Night

Picture the weekend: Friday evening with a fresh ball and a big hook, Saturday watching a basket literally grow in your hands, and Sunday placing your keys in something you made yourself. Chunky yarn turns crafting from a long-haul hobby into instant gratification, and it is dangerously easy to start planning the next colour before the first project ends.
