Plush Winter Cat Cave Bed

Cats Freeze in Winter Too (and They Steal Your Spot)

Cold floors and draughty rooms send cats searching for heat, which usually means your pillow, your laptop, or half your sofa blanket. Give them somewhere warmer than all three and everyone wins: an enclosed cave bed traps their body heat, blocks draughts, and hands nervous cats the dark little den they're wired to love. Deep sleep moves from your side of the bed to theirs.

A Cosy Cave with Cat-Ears Charm

Shaped like a plump kitty (grey plush ears, embroidered pink nose), this soft cave bed opens into a plush-lined den your cat can curl up deep inside. The enclosing walls hold warmth close, the padded floor cushions joints, and the whole thing is cute enough that it counts as decor. Small dogs welcome too, cats permitting.

• M: 33 × 33 × 35 cm, kittens and petite cats

• XL: 39 × 39 × 40 cm, larger cats or small dogs
• Style: enclosed dome cave with round entrance
• Colours: soft grey plush with pink nose detail (as pictured)

Why Caves Beat Open Beds

Cats feel safest sleeping where they can't be approached unseen, and open baskets leave them exposed on five sides. An enclosed bed works with feline instinct instead of against it, which is why many cats will use a cave in winter who ignored every flat bed before it.

Placement Tips for Instant Approval

Set the cave somewhere warm and quiet: near (not on) a radiator, off the cold floor on a chair or shelf if your cat likes height, away from the busiest corridor. Sprinkle a worn T-shirt inside on day one so it smells like family, and let them discover it at feline pace rather than being placed in it ceremonially.

Care and Keeping

Spot clean pawprints weekly; hand wash gently and air dry fully whenever the interior needs refreshing. Plumping the walls between washes keeps the dome standing proud and the doorway round.

The Winter Geo-Relocation

Picture the first truly cold night: your cat pads to the new cave, kneads exactly three circles, and vanishes entirely except for one ear. The pillow is yours again, the blanket is yours again, and through the doorway comes the faint, self-satisfied rumble of a cat who has found the warmest spot in the house. Correctly, they consider it their house.
