Padded Winter Dog Coat – Zip-Up, S–6XL

Big Dogs Get Wet and Cold Too, and Jackets Rarely Fit Them

Winter gear for dogs tends to stop at spaniel size, leaving labs, goldens, and shepherds to face sleet in nothing but optimism. A soaked, wind-chilled big dog is miserable company and takes hours to dry by the radiator. What large breeds need is a proper padded, weather-beating coat that actually zips up over a broad chest and stays put for the whole walk, mud optional.

A Puffer Vest Built for Real Weather

This winter dog coat pairs a water-repelling polyester shell ("waterproof" per the supplier; treat it as water-resistant for heavy downpours) with a warm padded lining that traps body heat evenly across the back and chest. The full-length back zip makes dressing a 30-kilo wiggler genuinely easy, and double D-rings on the spine let you clip a lead without a harness for calm walkers. The sleeveless cut keeps shoulders and legs totally free for full-speed recall.

Colours and an Inclusive Size Run

• Colours: black with a contrast yoke in blue, pink, red, green, or purple
• Sizes: S through 6XL, one of the largest ranges around; several sizes are low in stock, so check the menu first
• Fit: zipped vest with high collar; measure chest girth and back length, size up when between sizes
• For: small through giant breeds, including retrievers and shepherds

Why Zips Beat Pull-Overs for Big Dogs

Wrestling a coat over a large dog's head twice a day gets old fast, and stretch openings strain at broad shoulders. A back zip opens flat, steps on, and closes in seconds, which is why large-breed owners swear by zip coats once they try one. The high collar adds welcome neck coverage when the sleet turns horizontal.

Layering Notes for Bitter Days

The vest layers neatly over a knit sweater when temperatures properly drop, and the zip closure means no bunching underneath. On milder days it is plenty on its own: padding, shell, done.

Care and Keeping

Machine wash cool, zip closed, and air dry: the padding fluffs back up on its own and the shell sheds mud with a quick wipe between washes. Hang it by the back door and it is always ready for the next soggy adventure.

Winter Walks Worth Saying Yes To

Picture a sleety Saturday trail: your golden trotting ahead in a padded blue-and-black coat, dry-backed and warm, while other dogs shiver home early. More miles, more sniffs, one very content dog. That's the season sorted.
