Cage Bird Feeder – Gravity-Fed Transparent Seed Hopper

The Daily Seed-Dish Dash Gets Old Fast

Open seed dishes run empty at the worst times, flick husks and seed all over the cage floor, and turn every weekend away into an anxious favour from a neighbour. For budgies and other small birds, food should simply be there when they want it, not whenever you last remembered to top up. This gravity feeder keeps a generous reserve of seed in a clear hopper and refills the tray on its own, so mealtime stops depending on you being home.

Gravity Does the Refilling for You

The design is elegantly simple. Seed goes in the tall reservoir through the wide top opening, and a curved internal channel lets it slide gently down into the open feeding tray at the base, replacing what your bird eats as they eat it. There are no batteries, timers, or moving parts: "automatic" here means gravity doing its quiet job around the clock. The hopper mounts to the cage bars with a screw and wing-nut fixture, holding firm against even enthusiastic beaks.

Less Waste, Less Sweeping

A roomy open dish invites flicking, and much of what a bird throws aside ends up trampled or scattered outside the cage. Because this feeder only presents a modest portion of seed in the tray while the reserve stays sealed above, there is far less seed sitting loose waiting to be launched. Daily tidy-ups get quicker, and a bag of seed stretches noticeably further between shopping trips.

Clear Walls, Clear Conscience

• Fully transparent body, so you can check the seed level from across the room at a glance
• Made of plastic and listed for birds
• Open tray with a landing edge where birds perch and feed
• Top-loading refill; no need to dismantle the feeder to top it up
• Sold as one feeder, transparent finish

Weekends Away, Worries Gone

Imagine locking the door on Friday knowing the feeder is topped right up: you glance back, see the hopper still three-quarters full, and head off without a second thought. Meanwhile your bird carries on happily, perching at the tray whenever hunger strikes, with fresh seed always waiting below. Come Sunday evening, there is seed to spare, a calm bird, and considerably less mess under the cage to sweep up.
