Wooden-Stem Alligator Clips for Model Painting

Hold small model parts away from your fingers

When a model part is difficult to paint while holding it directly, a clip on a stem gives you another way to position it. These wood-and-metal alligator clips are intended for model painting and small craft work. They provide a gripping point that can keep your fingers away from the area you are colouring, subject to the shape and strength of the part itself.

Two length options are listed: 17 cm and approximately 22.5 cm. They appear in the selector named Color, even though they describe length rather than a shade. The selector named Size controls quantity, with packs of 10, 20, 30, 50 or 100 pieces. Choose both fields together so you receive the length and number intended for your workspace.

The stem material is wood and the gripping component is metal. A particular wood species, metal alloy, jaw opening and clamping force are not supplied in the written specifications. The clips should not be treated as precision load-bearing clamps or electrical test leads. Their documented role is to hold small parts during model drawing, colouring and other manual craft processes.

Before painting, test the grip on an appropriate, non-visible part of the item. A metal jaw may mark a delicate surface or distort a thin component if the contact point is unsuitable. Consider where the part can be held without covering the area you need to paint. This is especially useful when planning a sequence of colours or working around small attachment points.

The product image shows many clips together in a container, but the selected pack count governs the quantity you order. A storage pot or painting stand is not established as included. If you need the stems to stand upright, arrange a separate holder suitable for their size and your work surface. Keep the setup stable so parts do not contact each other while paint is wet.

Use coatings and adhesives according to their own instructions, including ventilation and drying requirements. No paint compatibility, solvent resistance or heat rating is established for the clips. Let the workpiece and coating determine the handling method rather than assuming the wooden stem can tolerate every process. Select these clips for their straightforward wood-and-metal construction and stated pack choices, with any specialist gripping requirement confirmed separately.
