Classic Cable-Knit Sweater for Small Dogs

One Sweater That Handles the Whole Cold Season

Small dogs need a warm layer on repeat from October to March, not just for the cute days: frosty morning toilet trips, soggy park loops, draughty kitchens at dinner time. A wardrobe of novelty outfits doesn't solve that. What does is one dependable chunky knit sweater in a colour that goes with everything, ready by the door every single day.

The Everyday Cable Knit

This classic cable-knit sweater wraps your small dog in thick, twisted knit that holds warmth close, with a snug turtleneck collar sealing out draughts around the neck and chest. The sleeveless pullover cut keeps legs totally free and slides on in seconds, and ribbed trim keeps the fit tidy through a full day of naps, sprints, and squirrel surveillance. Solid colours pair with every collar and lead you own.

Colours and Sizes

• Colours: wine red, khaki, black, white, pink, blush ("skin pink"), sky blue, and dark grey; one or two colour/size combinations sell through and may be unavailable
• Sizes: S, M, L, XL; measure chest girth and back length, size up when between sizes
• Fit: sleeveless turtleneck pullover
• For: small breeds (chihuahuas, yorkies, toy poodles) and puppies

A Gift That Gets Worn Weekly

Shopping for a dog-owner friend? A classic knit in a safe neutral is the rare pet gift that never misses: useful from the first frosty morning, photogenic always, and it quietly says you know exactly who runs their household. Add the chest measurement to your order note if you are guessing sizes and choose the next size up.

Why Chunky Knit Beats Thin Layers

Thin stretch tops block wind a little but hold almost no warm air. A chunky cable knit traps pockets of still air against the body, which is where real insulation comes from, so a sweater like this comfortably outperforms two thin layers without any of the bulk or sleeve-tangle.

Wash, Dry, Repeat All Winter

Cool gentle wash, reshape while damp, dry flat: the cables stay crisp and the neck stands proud wash after wash. (The supplier lists polyester/cotton; we have not independently confirmed the exact blend.) Keep two colours rotating and your dog is dressed from first frost to last.

The Door-Hook Staple

Picture grabbing the lead and the grey knit in one motion on a frosty Tuesday: dog dressed in ten seconds, warm from the doorstep, looking effortlessly put together at the park. No fuss, no costume, just a really good sweater doing its job all season.
