Cable-Knit Turtleneck Vest – 8 Colours

Winter Walks Shouldn't Feel Like a Chore for a Small Dog

Every cold snap brings the same standoff at the front door: the lead is on, the dog is shivering before the first corner, and the walk gets shorter every day. Small breeds like chihuahuas and yorkies simply have no undercoat to fight a British winter, and flimsy thin sweaters barely register. A chunky knitted turtleneck is the classic fix, warm where it counts, smart enough for the nicest street in town.

Turtleneck Warmth, Legs Fully Free

This cable-knit sweater vest wraps the chest, back, and neck in thick twisted knit, with a roll-neck collar that shields the throat from wind (the spot short-coated dogs feel first). The sleeveless cut leaves shoulders and legs totally free, so trotting, stairs, and sofa-climbing carry on as normal. Ribbed edges keep it fitted without squeezing, and it pulls on in seconds over the head.

Eight Colours, One Easy Decision

• Colours: white, black, light pink, dark pink, beige, light blue, wine red, and grey
• Sizes: S, M, L, XL; measure chest girth and back length, and size up when between sizes
• Fit: sleeveless turtleneck pullover
• For: small breeds (chihuahuas, yorkies, toy poodles) and cats who tolerate knitwear

Sizing That Actually Works

Pet sizes are famously optimistic, so trust the tape measure over the label: wrap it around the widest part of the chest and along the spine from collar to tail base. A snug-but-comfortable fit keeps warmth in and stops the sweater twisting mid-zoomie, and a little growing room suits puppies who seem to expand weekly.

Why a Roll Neck Matters More Than You Think

Heat escapes fastest from the chest and throat on short-legged dogs walking close to frosty ground. A fold-over collar adds a warm double layer exactly there while sealing out draughts, which is why turtlenecks outperform crew-cut sweaters on genuinely cold days. Function disguised as style, the best kind.

Care and Keeping

Knitwear likes gentleness: cool hand wash or a delicate machine cycle, reshape while damp, dry flat. The supplier lists the yarn as wool; we have not independently confirmed the blend, so treat it kindly either way and it will stay soft and shapely through many winters.

The Season's New Favourite

Picture a frosty Saturday market stroll: your little dog trotting happily in a wine-red cable knit, collecting compliments at every stall, while you sip something warm and smug. Longer walks, warmer dog, better photos. Winter sorted.
